The hoofies are Jason's own creation so you would have to go through him to buy them.

Yep  T10HJS

The better you get the faster they seem to wear but at least they are cheeper than the pads are and I find with rteversing them I can get a good few hours on them but if your going through a set every 2 weeks you must be putting some time in on your PJ's

You must be getting really good on them now

I will get them in the post for you tomorrow morning

Hi, I've made a silmilar mod on my roller blades, using old shoe heels for brakes. Clever huh!   Lol.

I would love a pair of these but would like to hear some feedback on them. Like how long they last and general comparison to the originals.

Great work,

Jason, (a different Jason).

I have been using these. I don't think I have been using them long enough to give decent feedback but I can tell you what I know.

Jason doesn't know how long these last, he has had them on for months and they are still going strong so they last pretty well :D Jason should be able to tell you how long he has had them.

As for performance. I can't really compare these to the old style hoofies as I have only used them briefly on other peoples stilts...that aside...I love them! I dont ever want to use anything else. The issue I was having with tire socks before was with them slipping and laces breaking and stuff like that...now these replace the hoofs so it is no different to having the normal hoofs on. For me, personally it's the best part of the design.

Onto grip and things. Again, I cant compare to hoofies but I did use tire socks before that were almost as good hoofies on some surfaces (but not all). To begin with the advise about wearing them in a bit to begin with is spot on. I was given the advise..yet first time using them was in the gym and I have to say that was a little silly. But anyway..I have been using these for a couple hours now over different surfaces and they are great all round. I can compare better to the normal hoofs. I think on normal hoofs the grip is good on a lot of surfaces but wears very fast.

All I can tell you at the mo is that they are deffo as good as normal hoofs but they don't seem to wear at all. Oh..and they are deffo better on grass.

I will give some better feedback when I have spent more time on them..been uber busy :(

OOps Spud thanks for the good review but your in the MK2 section  :Claugh:

Just to explain Juel Spud has been testing the new MK3 hoofies you can see them here

http://www.projumpforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=3132.0

The Mk2's are good grip wise but didn't last as well as I hoped (about 40 hrs hard bocking) the MK3's are a complete hoof change and as Spud says seem to be lasting very well

I sent you the pics Jason - what do you think? Is it possible? =)
Everyone's dreams sit aloft a rungless ladder. Some ladders are higher than others. Some are so tall they reach high above the clouds - but everyone can see their dream. Most people see that their ladder has no rungs and although they may talk about climbing it one day, seeing no way to get there, they eventually give up and settle for what lies beneath it.
The brave however, the wise, the imaginative and the strong of will seek out their missing rungs. They learn all they can about the ladder, they surround themselves with friends and family who would also find the rungs, and failing all else they craft the steps themselves with their own two hands from nothing. Sometimes a rung breaks and the person falls. Some of these people will fall too hard and lose the strength to climb again - Yet they feel comfort in knowing they tried. They became better for it. And they experienced things and witnessed sights upon the climb that those who sat forever beneath it will never know.
Then there are the special few who find new steps, or fix and climb again the ones that failed. Who eventually, through sheer tenacity and courage come to reach the final rung - Only they will have their dreams fulfilled. The extraordinary then build new ladders. These are the strongest people of all.

Possible Brendan but the size of the lump of ally would be a problem in two ways one of the added weight and the other of cost and time to machine

I did make something similar but out of rolled sheet steel so it might be viable to do it out of sheet ally give me a few weeks and I'll work at it

Ah brilliant =) I did think about the weight, thats why I chose Aluminium. And at present I have shoes on them so I'm not opposed to a bit of weight if it does the job. But I admit I had absolutely no idea about costs and machining time. So please do what you think will work best you magnificent machining magician. lol. ^_^ I'm excited to see what you come up with. =)

How did your something similar work?
