Creating Knee/Calf Cuffs
« on: May 01, 2008, 01:55:21 AM »
I've started creating of a set of Knee/Calf Cuffs.
I really like the UPwing type, so I did a bit of searching and found a knee brace that looks similar...

As this is high quality composite material and available in many colors, perhaps it could be adapted.
Just need to attach with strong hardware and add a few more straps.
This would eliminate the kneebar altogether, so knee pads would need to be worn over the straps.

Any thoughts?

it wouldn't really be a cuff then, and it'd also be difficult to wear kneepads with such a brace

also i've tested the uping cuffs and the poweriser style cuffs and the ser cuffs are definately superior in support and comfort, enough so that the current prototype of the upwings have switched to this style cuff.

Something about that I dont like the look of. I like the look of the ones on the 2008 powerisers and stuff. If they are only being used on prototypes I would defo wait to see how they went down and see what becomes of them first. they just dont look that comfy or secure...maybe if sow them for real I may think different
