What's up with Zen?
« on: June 07, 2008, 09:18:51 AM »
Greetings everyone.
Some of you may be wondering, what's happened?
Why have there been no updates on StiltModZ?
Why no more straps or modz from Zen?

Many things have happened in the last month.
Including injuries sustained directly from bocking.

Most importantly, the direction of my life has changed dramatically.
I am leaving the sport of bocking to persue more meaningful purposes.
I may still appear now and then, but I am no longer a full-time bocker.
I will be furthering my education and working to make the world a better place.
(that would include a better place to bock)

Unfortunately, my injuries are somewhat longlasting.
On my latest pair of stilts, the frame slowly bent and forced my knee sideways over the last few months.  I never noticed the damage until I switched stilts.
I've been off stilts for a month, and there is still pain in my knee, especially if bent slightly the wrong way.  My back has also suffered damage.
Lesson- occasionally reverse (R to L, L to R) stilts to check for gradual bending of the frame.  And.. Do NOT overdo it.

I may offer straps and other modz I have already pre-made (I've got quite a few).  There is a new interface designed for StiltModZ, but I've yet to decide the fate of the site.
I will at least make an effort to complete the modz that are nearly done (stiltpants, tiresocks, etc).

So, I hope no one thought I had just disappeared without cause.
And I apologize if I am slow at getting back to anyone, I'm not online as much anymore.

Sorry to hear that Zen, wishing you all the best for the future and hope the knee gets better soon.
