Which one to get??
« on: November 27, 2008, 10:43:12 PM »
I am a 1st timer buyer, I know if I wanna try back flips and high jumps , I gotta get the next category up my weight. But there is so many different brands! Powerizers/ Powerstrider / Powerisers seemed to be identical, I saw even one website that claimed their jumpin stilts are used in olympic closing ceremony! ( http://www.cnge.cc/olympic-stilts.htm ) , flyjumpers , etc

I am stuck with choices! Which is the better rated j.stilts?

Thanks in advance!

It will take some time before your back flipping on stilts down 20Kg to your weight would be before if your fit and think you can handle them ?
Pro-jump do offer good value for money for a first time stilt.

Few things it would help to know so we can give you accurate advice:

How old are you?
How tall are you?
How much do you currently weigh? (in kg)
Do you have previous acrobatic/gymnastic/trampolining experience?
How much are you prepared to spend on a pair?
Where abouts are you from?

 :)

Ok, a better question would be where are you living ;) You can only get some stilts some places but as you already know some are the same just sold under different names.

PoweriSers are a bit different to the others you have named but they are quite similar.

Hi  Trinitrophenol

You could always pop over to China and get them from the factory  :haha:

Seriously though have a good read through the forum and do a search for threads similar to this one theres loads of advice on which are the best

My personal opinion is that you cant go far wrong with a set of Pro-jumps (I've got 4 sets now ) there are a few types to avoid (normally the really cheap ones on e-bay)

Your best bet would be to get a set of whatever brand of the Pro-jump range they sell in your area to learn on
Then if you are really serious and want to go on to better things import a set of Powerskips from Austria (out of you price range at the moment but if you go the way most of us do you'll sell your Grandmother to get some )

Now the good bit what type are sold by you you need an expert on types and areas sold in

SPROG!  SPROG!

If we all shout Sprog loud enough he will come up with a list for you  Alternatively PM him and ask

Jason  :Hoofies2:

The quality of skyrunners is variable. Usually bad tho, sorry. Secondly they are illegal.

I think that because they may brake copyright laws they are illegal and so they are braking the law and so they would have rights to your money. If you tell them are these not a legal pair and say you want your money back maybe they'll give you it back.
If not you maybe lucky and the may last so you can save up for a better pair !?

I didn't think there was. The guy doesn't have patents for everywhere yet.

Sky runners can be of poor quality, but sometimes they can be good. Its a bit lucky but the build quality is not as good as other stilts. Don't panic about it. Use the sky runners until they die. It maybe soon, or may be long way off. Once they are dead upgrade to a better brand.

How much did you put down as a deposit?

Happy New Year Guys! One quick question.. I just managed clinched a deal with one of the china factories , is it possible for me to list the jumping stilts products in classifieds here? I wouldn't ship to USA, UK , Germany , France, Spain , Italy though ,in case of any conflict of interest..

Yes ?
If they where the odd item you wish to sell that's OK but this site is owned buy people who sell them.

Since you made a classifieds for these I will make it clearer.

No, not unless you get permission from projump. If you have not got permission to sell them by projump what you are doing is wrong.

Looks like you are avoiding countries where there is a patent maybe ??

Yes ?

I think that's up to Naz to decide DK, not you.

As this person is a seller, I doubt they would be allowed to advertise in classifieds. It would be like Trip advertising his 7's in there, it's unfair and not appropriate. It is designed for members to trade things, not for sellers to take advantage of.
