London / Greenwich Meet...
« on: June 07, 2009, 12:52:03 PM »
Hey/.

-Haven't been on here for an age. Have been completely tied up with my Degree over last few months which is now thankfully complete, so I can get out on the bocks again! It's been a good few months, so I wonder if I've still got it; may take some practice.

Anyhow, to the point. I am free for a bock virtually anytime. Except today as I'm hung-over, and doing intense exercise after a night out is never healthy, as I've learnt in the past. Would love to head to Greenwich / Cutty Sark area though as haven't been there for ages. Central London is also doable.

So there you have it, any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Looking forward to getting out and about on them again!

Ciao

hi Kirk, hope the exams went OK ( well better than OK I guess hehe).

Re central London. This weekend sees the start of Tate Modern's summer expo...and its a great 1. 'FUTURISM'.  Ill be popping up to see it in the next month or so, probably on a  Sunday.

Id hope to combine it with some bocking too.

So if peeps would like to see the exibition or maybe just meet outside at the wobbly bridge, I think there is lots to do all along that bit of the embankment

DG: Yes mate! I'm still alive... I shall have to start work on that banner soon! When you return from Wales we'll meet up again!

Jelly: When's good for you!? I'd love a Cutty Sark bock. Tomorrow? Wed? Can't wait to get out again!!

Q: Great to hear from you again, dude. The expo sounds inspiring and the South Bank is always a great place to be. Keep me posted on when you plan to pitch up for that!!

Edit: Oh, and thanks Q! The exams and deadlines went very well!

I was thinking perhaps this Saturday, as w/ends seem most popular. Weather is meant to improve and I thought maybe to meet London Waterloo and go from there. You've got the South Bank and then also the amazing area around City Hall just a little further up.

I'd have to leave at about 14:00 so would need start early! 10:00/11:00 or some such. Any thoughts..!?

Jelly: Shame you're working this w/end, but the 22nd sounds good. Will try doing something then!

In meanwhile, the weather seems to have kindly picked up so I'm heading out bocking tomorrow and Sat morning. If people want to join let me know. I think tomorrow will be Twickenham / Richmond area as my bocks are currently located there! But if anyone wants to meet in London I'm more than happy to make the trip in to Central. Same applies to Saturday.

Let me know if anyone is interested...!

Agreed. But if we start early i.e. 9/10am, then it's a decent amount of time. Let me know, weather looks to be decent!

Sure! Shall we say 10 then?
Waterloo is fine, unless there's somewhere more convenient for yourself?
