I was thinking of adding Soilder 95 DPM's(Army Issue Camo) to my costume, but I'm not sure if I can get full of the full uniform on time..

Nero (maybe Krock) and I will be wearing full DPM (Disruptive Pattern Material) this coming Friday. =) We're bocking for the poppy appeal. =)
Everyone's dreams sit aloft a rungless ladder. Some ladders are higher than others. Some are so tall they reach high above the clouds - but everyone can see their dream. Most people see that their ladder has no rungs and although they may talk about climbing it one day, seeing no way to get there, they eventually give up and settle for what lies beneath it.
The brave however, the wise, the imaginative and the strong of will seek out their missing rungs. They learn all they can about the ladder, they surround themselves with friends and family who would also find the rungs, and failing all else they craft the steps themselves with their own two hands from nothing. Sometimes a rung breaks and the person falls. Some of these people will fall too hard and lose the strength to climb again - Yet they feel comfort in knowing they tried. They became better for it. And they experienced things and witnessed sights upon the climb that those who sat forever beneath it will never know.
Then there are the special few who find new steps, or fix and climb again the ones that failed. Who eventually, through sheer tenacity and courage come to reach the final rung - Only they will have their dreams fulfilled. The extraordinary then build new ladders. These are the strongest people of all.

I was thinking of doing that and wearing a gas mask on top of it.

More and more things are being added to my costume:
going to end up costing £90 in total(maybe a little bit less),
though of course some parts of the costume are going to be used extensively for other things.

Hey EveryBocky  ( i know its cheesy but its the bocking that counts :) )

Im new here and im in the process of getting a pair of m80's but dont think i will get them in time for this event.. :(

so was wondering if i could borrow a pair that would suit me.. so i could kill a few birds with 1 bounce so to speak...

( see if i get on with them, find out if i catch the bock virus ( i think its called b0c3 bug ) and also be able to bounce round with everyone else )

i was thinking of a kind of like reward/sign of trust and the only thing i could think of is that who ever is willing to lend me a pair of m80's i would tell you my full address and also build you some new tyre armor as a sign of thanks..

any questions please pm me :)

you lot are crazy :) but your my kind of crazy and i like that :)

Thanks Chris

Hey Everybody

Just a odd Question

i was just wondering if anyone is spending alot on there outfit  ( money wise ) or if your making it yourselfs ( im guessing that late people coming to this meet/event will be pushed for time to think-get-make their own outfit in time that will be worth a good scare so will be buying out..

so was just thowing this out to all the boys and girls that ARE turning up to this meet what price range have you all going to..

( some of you have gone barmy but that could be due to not enough bocking :Ctongue:  lol )

oh last thing.. are peeps getting ready at the meet if so where??

Chris

Its a spend as much or as little as you want kinda thing. Everybody on here has different budgets. As for getting ready, i think most people will be turning up in their outfits to save them carrying stuff ( its a pain on bocks, most people only take phone keys and cash to meets)

I doubt i'm going but i hope that helps :)

I would estimate that my costume has cost about £50 in all with a few old clothes and bit I had laying around

In time spent on the costume I started making it about 2 weeks after last years halloween  :Claugh:

Just got to glue my tail on now

Army surplus isn't cheap, so my costume has ended up costing quite a bit.
I am crossing my fingers that my camo kit will arrive before Halloweenbock.

You bought that stuff for cadets! It doesn't count. I really want to go to london just to see this thing. Is there a day time meet? If I could go a bit earlier and leave on the last train I would be tempted.

But would have to get a taxi home...fail

I wanna go as wheres wally.

I've spent about a tenner on my costume, but I have a creative mind :P
Can't wait for this! Anyone know a cheapish place to park near the London eye? My parents are taking me in the car and then disappearing for a few hours so I can bock in peace (thank goodness!) and they'll need somewhere to park.
I'll be arriving at about 4 hopefully :D
