« on: September 10, 2009, 04:04:07 AM »
ok so first off im obviously new here so HEY! im nick anyway i have been kinda lurking around here for some time and finally decided to join i have powerisers and have had them about 5 years. however i onyl used them about a year and put them up and kinda forgot about them the reason being the bindings broke. in the last few years i have been into flips and stuff so i want to get them back working and do some flips. so my question is what bindings? i want to use the straps off snowboards bindings but will they work? i want something strong but i dont want to break the bank doing so. i was looking at using these do you guys think they would work?

yeah, LOADS of us have upgraded our stits with quality snowboard bindings, and it rocks.
youll get a good pair from ebay for around 30-40 pound.
pro jump do sell the evo 2 bindings now, which ive tried out and they not too bad, but i still went back to my drake snowboard bindings
that pair youve linked to are a bit like the evo 2's in design, im sure they will stop your feet from moving around and keep you well strapped in

I dont know this first hand but from what i have heard some bindings fit straight on, others need a binding/footplate mod.

well the big strap will just unscrew and can then be mounted onto the stilt pretty easily, by the look of the front one you may have to drill a hole for it to be screwed threw, simple mod to be fair, but the finished result will be pure joy

heres mine...

i went to my local builders yard and got a thicker bolt for the back binding, and the wide cross head can be tightened up with a one pence piece, which is handy enough, the front bolts are the stock ones but i have attached parts of a pop stud which lets them be tightened by hand if they come lose.
and heres drunkenstuntmans one piece bindings....

the white spots on drunkens bindings are actually his blood, yes he bleeds white, as he isnt actually human, he was grow out of the ground like a potato!

"he was grown out of the ground like a potato!"

That sounds really familiar but I have know idea why... my memory really sucks sometimes!
Everyone's dreams sit aloft a rungless ladder. Some ladders are higher than others. Some are so tall they reach high above the clouds - but everyone can see their dream. Most people see that their ladder has no rungs and although they may talk about climbing it one day, seeing no way to get there, they eventually give up and settle for what lies beneath it.
The brave however, the wise, the imaginative and the strong of will seek out their missing rungs. They learn all they can about the ladder, they surround themselves with friends and family who would also find the rungs, and failing all else they craft the steps themselves with their own two hands from nothing. Sometimes a rung breaks and the person falls. Some of these people will fall too hard and lose the strength to climb again - Yet they feel comfort in knowing they tried. They became better for it. And they experienced things and witnessed sights upon the climb that those who sat forever beneath it will never know.
Then there are the special few who find new steps, or fix and climb again the ones that failed. Who eventually, through sheer tenacity and courage come to reach the final rung - Only they will have their dreams fulfilled. The extraordinary then build new ladders. These are the strongest people of all.

ok so heres the deal i ordered new bindings(snowboard bindings) new feet, the foot plate you stand on, and the newer advanced knee cuffs. i painted almost everything flat black. i havent ordered springs yet but i most likely will very soon. hopefully in the next week parts will come and ill put t together and show you guys. i cant wait :Cwink:

EDIT*

sorry about the poor quality they were taken with my phone

so here are some pics of how they are now. yes i know there is still some silver but im not painting the parts im replaceing. when i get the cuffs and hoves ill paint them black as well.

i have one more question as well im looking at new springs the poweriser ones cause thats what i have poweRisers not any knockoff versions. however is there a better spring other than the powerskips honestly they are a little pricey for me.
