Wouldnt it be better to just do the 1 mile and run it?

the point is to raise money, entertain, encourage healthy exercise and have some fun
Yes there is a point to training up and pushing 1self to run a mile rather than walk/lil jog 3.
But its v far from clear cut and 4 some not an option
Oscar Wilde comes to mind ( a little) and his observation on dogs walking on their hind legsand the fact of the issue was ' not that they do it badly, but they do it atall' ( an approx quote soz if Im not word perfect)
It would undoubtedly better to do the mile in a tee shirt and shorts and not as the backend of a panto cow....but there is a reasonable chance that the 'fact' will not stop 1 or 2 people
Baring heart attacks and the like, everyonr who takes part is a winner.
So its all about taking part, as many as possible , however 1 wants
