Hey guys,

I'm trying to sort out one for Birmingham. I've phoned the organisers and they similarly said that individuals would not be permitted, but reasonably sized groups would be. I've got at least 5 people coming but I hope to get that number large enough for us to get our own "wave" for the run (we're down for the 3 mile run at 1pm).

If anyone fancies coming to Birmingham to take part (since we're not further than 2 hours from most places in the country) then let me know. I've got a thread here: http://www.projumpforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=4434.0

that reminds me. HULL HAS ALSO BEEN CONFIRMED

meeting at the hull flagship mile at 11:45am but get there for about 11:15 to get signed in and find us (theres only 2 of us doing it as far i know cause 1 is ill and ones at a DofE thing and anothers got work so its all gone to pot having more of us so please come allong

btw LEEDS has been Disallowed a mile due to the course

Im all signed up and paid..

just wondering on transport from london to southampton and then back home afterwards..

is there anyone going by car and if so could i hitch a lift please..if not what time would people be leaving the event to come home.. those that live london way and are traveling by train..

i am looking forward to this as i cant seem to look back on it yet lol..

what time are we meeting up and where abouts.

is there going to be someone at the station saying you mad bunch hop this way.. ( or something like that lol )

or is it like what rawrk said n just wander round till we bump into each other..
if so as i and a few others on here dont know where to go..

could Q or someone local to the area give us either directions from the station or a post code/address for tomtom.

Well, quite a few people who were on my "deffo coming" list have actually dropped out at the last minute, quite a disappointment. At risk of jynxing things, there's still at least 2 more people coming for a total of 3.

If anyone is thinking of coming to the Birmingham event there are two chances to meet up: either at 1200h (midday) at Selly Oak station car-park (there are two-car parks, but if you stand on the pedestrian bridge over the station you can see both places fine, or at the starting place at Cannon Hill park during the day. I'll be checking this thread regularly so just post here if you are coming.

Our wave is 1200, so you need to be there to check in well before that, I do not know where me and q will be until we get there, but we will be there early, so call us. Dont worry if you cant find us, the marshalls need to direct you to the front of the 1200 3 mile wave.

Really great days folks, I hope every one's events went well. I have become a walking reminder of the importance of wrist guards, even though I would of still broken my arm. I'm really pleased with the Southampton event, big thanks to everyone who made it!

I fell on my arm, the doc reckons wrist guard would of saved my wrist but not helped on my arm. But if I was wearing them I would of put my arms out, fell differently, and might not have broken anything. Wear wrist guards people!

Good advice mate and hope it feels better now (or at least less painful)

I always wear elbow guards too as I tend to slide sideways and land on my elbows they have saved me so many times I love em
