Freshly Completed Tyre Armour
« on: May 29, 2010, 05:47:11 PM »
Hey, guys.
Since was my birthday yesterday, I finally got a pair of M90+ and they're great! Of course, the spring simply had to be protected, so I went to town today and bought 2 26" mountain bike tyres, some tools and some shoe lace. Result:

I think they're great, although it took a couple hours to make - not bad either considering it's pouring down with rain anyway! :)
Hopefully the weather tomorrow is nice and I can get some more practice. ^_^

Cheers, but my fingertips are sore now. :P Rubber is hard to punch through, even with a belt puncher.

Yeah I know. I used a normal paper hole punch on mine to help with the leverage. Lol

FunkyCowie, I bought 2 tyres just to make sure I had enough to spare. Which, I did (I had some left over from the first tyre!). Never fear though, because I've now got a spare 26" mountain bike tyre that I can use for something else. :D

I actually bought two as well thinking I needed two from reading someone else's post  :Claugh:

So my other one is going to be used as tyre socks, after my first attempt I found they slide to the right or left when in use and I have to keep kicking them into position by standing on one leg, so next set I make I need to incorporate a way of holding them in place using the side wall which I had cut off my first set.

This sounds like my neighbour

He asked me how many rolls of wallpaper I bought to paper my hallway

I said 10

He came back a week later and said that he had only used 8 and had two left over

Funny that so did I  :Claugh:

I wonder why he hit me
