Many of you have bounced around this area of Portsmouth. Still more will have seen the pictures and videos that the JJ's and pro jump 101 have posted. Its a really great site and we have been using it for over 3 years.
Yep on Sunday a very polite lady from the Portsmouth Community Support Team came up to us and said there had been a complaint and as a result she was telling us we couldnt bounce about the area!!!!
Nature of the complaint? Well someone ( we dont get to know who) said we were being disrespectfull to Lord Nelson! Many of you will recall there is a statue of him in the area.
Now we have to do something about this. Now if we make a 'big' fuss the council may take a wider look at us and restrict us. On the other hand I dont think anyone should be pushed about by annonamous complaints of a rather nebulus nature.
If you have any ideas as to how to proceed please put them down here.
As luck would have it, this week Jason posted some pix posted of people bouncing about Trafalgar Square and there were no probs from London City Council. Im also reminded that Nelson himself , at the Battle of Copenhagen, famously ignored his commanding offficers order to withdraw after heavy damage from the Danish fleet and shore batteries. 'Turning a blind eye' and placing his sightless eye to his telescope and claiming to see no signal flags.
