DO CALF CUFFS FIT 7 LEAGUES?
« on: August 08, 2010, 01:53:23 AM »
buying 7league raptors next week or the week after and might consider trying calf cuffs out

any idea if pro jump/poweriser calf cuffs fit the league bracket without twisting when jumping or running?

cheers all :)

7 leagues only recommend the metal brackets when using calf cuffs, so try skate hut or PoweriSer for some before you buy some cuffs.

DC lend me your heaviest 7's and let me play with them and I'll show you "Up to standard"  :Claugh: (bet you ask me to stop )

The local supplier of 7's took mine back because they bottomed out of the box (as did the second pair)

And just my opinion but the new top of the weight range 7 springs make old glass only skyrunners seem super responsive

But thats just an old fat mans opinion  :Claugh:

yeah maybe 7's are good for you little hobbit sized bockers, but im with jason, they just cant make a spring thats up to us bigger guys weight.

Ive gone back to knee bar  cos the pro jump cuffs 'twisted'   the plastic bracket cant take it( not please note pj's fault). But dont 7's come with their cuffs now? I heard they had a bit of a problem, but a/ there is a tutorial somewheres on how to fix it and b  7's may have corrected it thems selves ( but dunno)

Also, r u not ready for T Rex's? Id have thought you would ground Raptors, if not str8 away, then pretty soon. Would b hard at 1st. But push you to get a spot on technique.

Also, as a cheaper option, have you thought of just buying components? Your frame should be perfectly OK.

You could buy a set ( or 1/2 set ) of brass bushings. Tho gotta say when is some1 gonna start making them and flogging them, 'cottage industrystylee'?  Doesnt Daryl's Stepdad work in the Dock Yard? Does he have contacts re making some?

Then buy 7 springs.

Then buy me a pint with some of the money Ive just saved you

He went for Powerisers in the end :P I went for ProJump Calf-Cuffs but worried they are going to break with the plastic brackets under me flipping :S

p.s. Q we don't really talk to Daryl much, he has not been out in months, and kinda ditched us for a guy :(

DC don't worry to much

Realised I am back up to 18stone the other day and not managed to break a plastic bracket yet

they tend to twist if you don't tighten them up enought but both Clive and I used them for ages with no problems

Also I would say that flipping dosn't put much more pressure on them than any other landing unless you get it wrong  :Claugh: and them the cuffs are the least of your problems

hey all really pleased with my Powerisers get much more height than my old franken-bocks..which are now buckled bent and r*ped beyond belief.
one thing i have noticed between mine and squeekers powerisers is that have polished up the rough bits of the frames and you know longer cut the back of your calf on the claf bar brcket.....matt (squeeker) hates me for it.

oh DC when can I has my sky runner hoofs back??

we need to build that pair of stilts for philli for saturday
or if she can't make it means we have a spare pair of stilts on hand :P
