Spring Protectors and Feet Protection
« on: August 10, 2010, 03:54:07 PM »
I had done these quite a while back but only got around to taking pictures to post them and I needed to change feet over so thought I would do a little tutorial to show how I do my feet... well not mine but the bocks ones :D

Feet seem to last about 10+ hours of bouncing and I can get 6 sets out of the tire I used (not 100% sure, might be more) so 60+ hours of use out of a £16 tire seems good :D

For the binding string I am using washing line, like BioHazard used for his spring armour, just with more holes... then I got creative... and also got creative with the feet as my attempt at socks just looked nasty :D

Are you sure its not 'adamessex' rather than 'Abe' as he messaged me within a day of signing up here and enquired as to where I was as we have the same surnames... which we don't because my surname is not Cowie :Claugh:

Hrmmm just realized my design is similar to Pinheads one... except that it doesn't need dove tailing because there is no twist.

Just a lil hint really, but i found that traditional style, round hole punches that you hit with a hammer were way more effective at going threw rubber than them belt punch things

“Life is not a journey to the grave with intentions of arriving safely in a pretty well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming ... WOW! What a ride!”

never had a problem with the hole punch I was using, just a pinch, a wiggle side to side and out the rubber pops :D
