complete newbie
« on: April 30, 2007, 09:46:27 AM »
hey i'm really new to the whole concept of pro-jumps/powerisers but i think they're ace

my main question is  , as i couldn't find it in the forum anywhere else , how much wear/tear can the stilts withstand, e.g how long can u be running  or doing tricks on them , and do the springs break or weaken or need reparing often (if at all)

any help would be much appreciated  thanx

Russ how to see you in the sky soon  :P

Hey, Welcome to the forum!

I've had my projumps for about 6months now and they have only needed a few bit replaced, the rubber footpads wear out quite quickly and you should use a tire sock to stop them wearing down.
The other bits i've had to replace was the brass bushings which had totally worn out.
If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much room!

Yeah, the rubber feet wear down really fast. Also if you fall you can scratch and chip the spring easily.

and for the spring rap about 2 layers of electrical tape around then get a innertube cut it to the spring length and get that rapped on there then another 2 layers of electrical tpae should do it :)

At 7 stone that's about 45kg that smallest adults are 50kg and as a rule you should always ago 10 - 20kg over your weight so I'd say that you should buy adult 60kg. Kiddies jumpers are a lot smaller and on so powerful ( they are meant for young kids !? ).
