Thats it folks

I hope some of you make them But give it a day or two as I am testing them properly this weekend so if you don't ever see me again you'll know the did'nt work  ;D

Any questions I will do my best to answer them

If you fit the cuff to your leg and then put your PJ's on it should give you an idea where to cut and drill the hoops but get it right first time or your'll curse yourself
as you pay PJ £18 for another one

Thanks for letting me use so much space Webmaster ( everyone says I'm long winded )

I gave them a good try over the last two days

First strangely I did'nt find that they make me sweat I wear full length knee/shin pads and allways sweat under them  but the back of my legs were dry

Comfort is unbelievable I stood talking to someone and forgot I had them on

The best bit is they are so adjustable by moving the pad position on the cuff and straps you can shift your weight back of forward and by moving the bars you can shift it left and right
It's the first time I have felt really ballanced on them

I even managed to jump a couple of ditches at a run ( the new tyre socks helped as well lots of tread they even grip on wet grass ) and climbed up onto a 80cm hay bale for the first time without falling over

The bad news I was so enthusiastic I tweeked my back again O well I'll learn one day

but just imagine how much u would be saving by making your own pair

they are very good jason, though I can find only one problem with them, If you fall onto where your knee bar would be you would actually be falling on the plastic fasteners on your cuffs so you could damage them purty easily  :-[

At 80p each and 10 mins to sew them on not to bad
I wear the cuffs over Pit Dirt kneepads but the cuffs are thin enough to wear the pads over.
Also you could move the buckles further round by just unvelcroing them
I might try that next time I wear them thanks Pro-jumpingboy good input

And cost I think the final pair cost me about £15-£20 all in

Lastly I've got mine now unless you can get to germany You can't buy them (maybe soon PJ will get them But I wanted them NOW )

Call me spoilt

No?
Only patent infringment, I think that one is a large fine or prison time

I'm sure someone here can tell me the exact punishment but telling people how to make them is no crime

I love the idea and would like to make myself a pair. I agree with you Jason about the problems with patent infringment. You wouldn't get jail time but you could get taken to court and ordered to pay a fee to the patent owner. Plus all court costs would go to you.

What I would say is maybe you would be willing to make and sell just the metal parts for them. I loved the tutorial and really want to make some and I know that I have the skills to make a pair EXCEPT for the metal bits. The cut off screw and the washer are not a problem. The problem is the rectangular metal plate and the funny alternative to a nut. I can see how you made the plate but I can't think where to get a piece of aluminium of the correct thickness and size and I don't understand how you made the funny nut piece.

If you are going to the big London meet next month, any chance you could make a bunch of them to give out down there. I wouldn't mind reimbursing you for the materials and time it took you to make them.

If not then where could I get some aluminium plate. I'm not so worried about the nut bit. I'll just use a 6mm nut.
