Meeting at Speakers corner in Hyde park, nearest tube is marble Arch, at 11am. We will have a bock around the park then take in some of London's land marks. This will probably be the biggest UK meet of the year. Try to make it if you can and before you ask the time and date are not moveable. There are people coming from overseas for this event so ther will be no changes. Sprog has designed the official T-shirt for the event, details for this are on the other forum

I work at Theatre Royal Drury Lane (yes the one where lord of the rings is) and no I don't get cheep/free tickets before anyone asks
I have managed to chat to the lads that do the Bocking and they are a nice bunch of lads (and very good on bocks) It was talking to them that got me started although I had seen bocks before
What I can tell you about the show is that I hav'nt seen it yet but hope to soon
(I even have to buy my own tickets if I want to go) but I get to watch bits of it while they're rehearsing
The lads on bocks are something else imagine running and jumping on a stage (remember the stage slopes towards the audience) in semi darkness with a load of other actors and gymnasts running/dancing all over the stage at the same time also the stage is 2 counter rotating turntables so the floor literaly moves under your feet
The potential for an accident is very high but the choriographers have done a good job of making it as safe as poss
I was chatting to one of the bocking orks the other day and he said even if LotR don't send anyone officialy He might turn up on the day just for fun (not as an orc though ;D)
Oh and they use the original skips (cost a fortune, thank god for PJ's so I can play)
What I've seen of the show it seems very spectacular and if your a LotR fan (as I am) and a bocker it would be worth a visit
Hope you all forgive me for holding out but evey time I mention that I work in theatre land I get loads of people thinking I can get them free tickets so I tend to keep tight lipped about it

Anyways, so going to be there on the 19th!! This is going to be great!That is good to hear.
I just got mine today, they were really heavy and walking in them was weird. I can walk on my own mostly now (fell over within 5 minutes though, good thing I got those pads too). Still need a friend by my side in case. Normally when I walk (without projumps) my legs are quite close to each other and my knees sometimes rub. Had to learn to walk with my legs apart otherwise the knee bars catch each other and I tend to fall. Also catching the pad on the floor cos you didn't lift it high enough when stepping. Anyways, they're great. I love them so much! Already had people going 'aren't you meant to run in those' and I has to confess it was my first day.
I tried running/jogging, well going faster but it didn't work, keeping nearly falling forwards. Only my first day though. I can't jump at all in them though, but managed it holding onto the door frame with both hands and jumping on the step for a bit (you need to put a lot of force into them to jump!)
Anyways, so going to be there on the 19th!! This is going to be great!

Like Q said there are people coming from all over the place, I think the people actually from London will be a minority. There are several parents and people over 30 coming along so she wont feel left out. Janelle's (girl on the other forum) mum always comes along and Janelle is an adult! her mum enjoys being a part of it even though she doesn't bock herself. The Metropolitan Police have said its OK for the meet as long as it was not a commercial venture. All it really needs to have is web addy's for this and the other forum. People can then do their own research.

If you are referring to 7leagues, they are down Hyde park every weekend promoting. I could hardly tell them that there usual patch was off limits because of capital bocking....Plus Manni from 7Leagues was there helping fix some 7Leagues that were damaged, they were there to look after their customers, not advertise...

london was amazin 9 hours on my bocks in total 8 in london then an hour when i got home, bit stiff today tho but i would go to london and do it all again 2morrow, really glad i had the oportunity to meet all you guys cant thank ET enough.
