hi and welcome rover.  chek out 'dawesome'  last I heard he was lerking on the welsh side of the boarder whilst NOFEAR is just your side ( Ludlow or similar I think)  I think the 'skyhigh' crowd in Brum would be easier to get to than the welsh crew down in Cardiff

Erm,

Hi all, I'm Mark, otherwise known as Fenners, got my pro jumps as a very unexpected, but very appreciated present in August.

I finally got all the safety gear, but the weather south of Manchester is not the best as of late.

I'm 32, and loving them, though I might have cause to join the Banned Bockers, as the safety guy at work said I'm not allowed to wear them in the office again after I was trying to show everyone how easy it was to walk / wear them on a lunchtime.

Having read a few posts I'm pretty sure I'm a Tigger, it appears no-one in Macclesfield has ever been seen wearing them other than me and I'm gaining some kinda infamy (though I can't jump or anything yet, just walk and mostly run).

Nice to see there's plenty of other Bockers out there.

M. or should that be F.

Welcome to planet Bock  :)
I think you'll find there's some bockers near you !
We are a nice close friendly group and always happen to find more bockers.
Hope your find a fellow bocker soon being a Tigger isn't nice  :-\
Tiggers end up not getting pushed and stop trying new things.
After a year I've now got a bocker living only 20 miles away

Thanks Dark Knight,

My friends now think I've now got the most dangerous way of injuring myself(depsite my protestations) though before I'd got my PJ's  I've managed the following:
Tooth crown 1 (black ice slide at school)
Tooth crown 2 (face hitting the bottom of a swimming pool)
Fracture (green stick) of the coccyx (black ice incident)
Broken collar bone (in 2 places) with torn ligaments in my shoulder (all from non-contact touch rugby, go figure :))
Broken bone in hand (mountain biking, tree incident)
Broken bone in hand (same one again, tripped up a kerb)

suffice to say despite my friends amusement I think I've never been safer, well at least I have the full protective gear, just want a gym meet near me so I can get better.

Hopefully some nearby's will get in contact.

Fenners.

I'm Kat.  I guess that I'm old by your standards - 42 at the next winter solstice - but I really don't feel like I'm old.

I live in the suburbs of Pgh, PA USA.  I saw jumping stilts at my wholesale supplier and had to get a pair.  Then I had to sell them. (www.xtremejumpingstilts.com)  If you want to give helpful feedback to my website please feel free.   I will take whatever you have to say very seriously. (I will begin blogging on that site next week.)

I am not on this forum to sell.  I am here to learn more about the sport and learn more about what I can do.

I am looking for tips and to connect with others.

I have been using jumping stilts for a month.  I am very comfortable walking, running and going up and down hills.  I am really bad at getting up after I fall down.  It's hard to practice that because I don't like the falling down part.

I am off to explore more of this forum.

HIYA!

I'm Becky, from Essex. I got the money for Powerisers for my Birthday (about a week ago) and have only put them on once quickly thus far, but I'm doing OK I think (I can walk and do little jumps).

Nice to meet y'all  :)

Welcome to the forum George, I am sure that pro jumps come in black and not in pink, but never too sure these days, if you call up pro jump, they are very nice people who are happy to help

its cos the 50kgs ones are kids and are only in pink,
i suggest you go for the 60kgs kids one if u want or the 60kg adult ones but they will cost a bit more
