Tundrah ( also comming) has supplied me with a tube of stuff thats used to lubricate aeroplanes.  Lot smaller than a can, ill bring it. But spray 1st thing in mornin.

We can do a check nearer time  just to make sure we have no more than 1 of each and any 'essentials'.

I dont have tyre soxs   i normally wear trainers ( yes on the hoofs) but need a new pair.

A lil bit more padding round knee gaurd maybe an idea if you dont already have extra plumbing type foam stuff round them. Also webbing straps around the knee to hold you to your stilts firmly is good if you dont already. I use pinhead straps which are considered the tops , tho another person comming will be sporting fancy poweriser calf cuffs. Its in that area that id expect any chaffing

Well it all seems to be comming together.  cheers guys

yup i don`t have tire socks

Jump-Up I may have some spare bits of old bike tyre, you just need to get some 55-70mm jubilee clips, and I will put them on for you in the morning, when you arrive at the event!  ;D ;)

Jason, don't worry about your walker id, as I do not know mine either!!  ;D you should be able to find a sponser form which you can print off on the walk for life website, or just go to http://www.walkforlife.co.uk/Design/50/SponsorshipForm.pdf and print it off from here, I am going to use a local event near me to try and raise some funds, and I am going to hound my local supermarket stores, for donations!!  ;D

We may have to cross over millennium bridge, and just a word of warning, it is a fully metal bridge, and if it rains, it will become very slippery, so we will need to take some care!! I finally got myself some pads, and a 2 Litre hydration pack, so I can drink as I bock!!  ;D

Well lets hope for no rain. But its not as big a problem has peeps make out. As a complete noob on my first bocking in london I was obliged to 'wade' hoof deep thro puddles and walk about on wet cobble stones , all doable. But as you say with just a lil care

What are we going to do about meeting up, as I thought about meeting up at about 9:45 on the south bank, near the London Eye, as long as people have all day travel cards for the tube. The reason I thought this, as it means that we can check all of our equipment, to make sure that we will not squeak, lose a card, etc.  ;D

Yep , i think meeting as close to Hyde park is best, 1 person comming from leicster so he will def not want to go past the park and back. Ill be with a group from the south west ( probably via victoria coach station). I cant spot my a-z at the mo or Id name 1 or 2 of the tube stations around the park. The 1 on the northern side would probably be the best 1

When I find a tube map ill post it

Would you believe it I was walking very slow and caught a damp muddy patch and fell awkwardly
The day before I jumped over an 18" paper bale and cleared it by a good 6" it's when your not paying attention that accidents happen  ;D

i would believe it. its the same in other sports ive done  mountain biking , surfing.  if you r prepaired and expecting the worst then the body is too and you are ready to roll etc with the fall or insidence. You get hurt when you dont expect it. Worst cycling injury - didnt pull handlebars up as i approach a curb --yep  went down on head -whiplash.

but  just get better slowly  dont race it
